The green beans are beautiful, although a small percentage looked chewed on - thanks for sending extra, no complaints about it. When roasted city, these have a very typical Kona flavor profile but when you go City+ to just below a full city roast then this bean SHINES! The body is better than any Kona I've had and I've been home roasting ALL coffees for 20+ years. This is a complex brew, earthy and chocolate notes are very present, which I love. There is also some stone fruit, I'd call apricot some would just call it a 'fruity' note. In addition, there is a slight floral quality but more so at a lighter roast. Overall, this bean produces an amazing cup of quality and am about to order more. Thank you so much, glad I found you.

That's great! Thanks so much for your detailed review of the various notes and flavors of our coffee as only a true expert would know.
Loving coffee & Hawai’i island I’m always searching for interesting tastes from the different regions. Hamakua has some interesting terroir accompanying the coffees I’ve tried & it’s been fun & especially when I get the opportunity to roast the beans myself.
Hog Heaven beans I roasted Friday & brewed Sunday provided a very subtle flavor. From green beans to City / Full City. A soft floral w/a touch of soft mushroom-like taste via a French press. I really enjoyed the subtle nuances & plan to utilize my Chemex pour over for the next brew to isolate the flavors as well as give the beans more time to gas off & reveal more flavors. A very gentle calming cup of coffee that begs for more experimentation & roasting profiles. I look forward to visiting one day ‼️😎🤙🏽
