Had a rainy week in Hawaii thanks to the Kona Low storm system, saw more lightning than I have on the island in the past decade. A tree fell on my house, and my roof leaked and black mold appeared. I am crediting the pound of Hog Heaven coffee I consumed with helping me get through the storm and home repairs!

We got a private tour from the lovely owners. It is such a beautifull piece of earth, we learned a lot and got deep insights into coffee farming encompassing all from the coffee plant to the freshly brewed coffee.

My husband and I visited Hawaii last month in December. This was our first time visiting Hawaii and we have never been on a coffee tour. But having done big scale tours for other things, we really liked the idea of a more intimate tour experience and supporting a small business owned by a veteran. Mike, Sookyung, and their canine companions were very kind and amazing tour guides. We learned a lot about how coffee beans make their way from the tree to our homes, and had the opportunity after to chat about their story and how they ended up living in Hawaii with a coffee farm. Not only was it a great tour, but they also make really good coffee. My husband will drink almost any coffee black, but I'm very much a coffee with cream drinker. The sample they made for us was the first time I've had black coffee and felt like I could drink a whole cup of it without needing cream, so we bought one of each roast to bring home with us. I would highly recommend this to anyone. My husband and I are daily coffee drinkers but by no means are we experts in coffee beans or brewing, yet we still learned a lot and really enjoyed our visit. We took a tour of the coffee farm in early December. Having never been to a coffee farm before I was very interested in how it is grown. We arrived to the farm and were greeted by the owners, and then walked over to a smaller part of the farm to see the coffee plants. Our tour was very informative, and as it turns out there are A LOT of variables that determine how well coffee will grow! We learned a lot more than I initially thought and I am very glad we took the tour. The coffee they produce is also very good and we will be buying more in the future.

My husband and I loved the coffee tour at Hog Heaven Coffee Farm. We purposely chose it because of the story behind the husband and wife team starting their business as well as they stated they had dogs on the property that joined us on the tour. We highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in coffee and the way its produced.
